Philip Miller wrote the twenty-nine essays in Praise Emptiness over a period of several years. At some point it occurred to him his words might be amplified and deepened if coupled with images his friend in Jerusalem, Judith Margolis, had been creating for the past half century. He asked her to craft his manuscript into a beautiful book. Working long distance throughout the Covid period the two friends expanded the design to include forty-five visual images.

With exacting care, the 180 page hardcover, signed and numbered limited-edition (50), was published at the prestigious Jerusalem Fine Art Print workshop. Now the book is brought to a wider public in this meticulously produced paperback edition.

Praise Emptiness’ essays and images form a dialog ranging over many subjects: Judaism, Buddhism, feminism, free will. The book reflects the author and artist’s conception of UltimateTruth as various/unknowable.
